I thought I would spend time listening to some of the biggest Saas companies in the globe and see what they are thinking about Saas, AI and the transition.

My Insights from Atlassian - 


I have been using Atlassian, Jira and related products for more than a decade. Atlassian tools have helped me understand how the agile scrum works, how to track team tasks and has helped me get the work done from the team. 


Atlassian tools are amazing. Here are my insights from Mike’s (CEO of Atlassian) talk. 


1 - In the agentic era, the user may move out of the system of record to another layer. However, that does not mean that the system of record is a valueless database. Your system of record itself will come up with an agentic layer for you. 

2 - If you wish to scale, do not use AI as defense or cost-cutting. Only those teams will win who will use AI effectively and efficiently in the future.

My Insights from Intuit - 


1 - The new phase of Saas tools with AI agents will remove all the drudgery, data entry etc. This will be a huge step towards productivity and accuracy for everyone. Intuit plans to focus here. 

2 - Vibe coding can give you features. However, the real value lies in proprietary, contextual and real-time datasets. Intuit’s distribution and datasets are the real moats for the next 5 years and AI will make these moats stronger. 


He asked his top 30 executives on how to become 10x productive with AI and acted upon their suggestions. Very informative.

My Insights from Monday.com - 


Here are my notes when I heard Eran (co-CEO Monday.com). He is one of the notable Saas founders and has successfully scaled to 1 Billion plus ARR. 


1 - Don't get stuck in a feature; think about the full workflow. This is one of the best ways to increase stickiness and scale globally. 

2 - Everyone in the company should have access to all metrics. This is a must from transparency as well as it enables faster decision making. 

3 - Monday.com is in a crowded market. So they focused on building a system that runs by itself which included paid ads. See what works for your business.
